Upcountry - Pukalani, Makawao, Kula, Olinda, Halii Maile
Upcountry is a community built along the flanks of the dormant volcano, Haleakala. Many are attracted to the main towns of Pukalani, Makawao, and Kula, for the cooler weather, sparser population density, and the ‘local feel’. These higher elevation towns provide stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Pukalani provides reasonably priced housing and a convenient location to the shops and businesses of Central Maui.
